A woman has a broken neck after a car accident early Saturday morning in Colorado Springs. It happened around 1:30 am at Platte Avenue & Logan Avenue. The crash involved a large pick-up truck and a sedan.
The investigation revealed that the pick-up truck was driving eastbound in the westbound traffic lanes of Platte Avenue. The driver of the sedan was broadsided after she tried to avoid a head-on collision. Both vehicles were totaled.
A male fled from the scene. A Colorado Springs officer located that possible suspect in the area of Platte and Union.
The male was identified by witnesses as the passenger in the hit & run suspect vehicle. An officer identified the driver but he was not located. His name is not being released at this time.
The other driver, an adult female was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated. She was transported to Memorial Hospital. Her doctor told police that she had serious bodily injuries, including 3 cervical fractures. She is not paralyzed.

I PRAY THAT THIS WONDERFUL WOMAN HAS A FAST RECOVERY AND GETS BACK TO THE BEAUTIFUL PERSON SHE IS AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN!!!!!! I ALSO HOPE AND PRAY THAT THE PERSON THAT CAUSED THIS CAN MAN\WOMAN UP AND TAKE RESPONSABLITY FOR THEIR MISTAKES.
See? More proof of what a dangerous city Colorado Springs is to drive in. I do wish the lady a speedy recovery. Meanwhile, I sweat bullets every time my kids are 15 minutes late getting home. Drivers that want to: 1)speed. 2)drink and drive. 3)talk or text while driving--- It's OK if you want to hurt or kill yourself, but please leave me and my loved ones out of your plans.
Good advice Bob, hopefully other drivers will be more cautious about going out.
