Police have one in custody after they say he was found around the scene of a burglary Thursday morning.
According to police, the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Richard Carlson, was involved in a couple of burglaries Thursday.
Officers were first called to the 2800 block of W. Platte Ave. on reports of a burglary in progress, in which a handgun was said to have been taken. Police were told a suspect with his description was seen running north and east of the area.
A short time later, around 7:30 a.m., police were called to the 2700 block of Uintah on a burglary in progress with a description matching the one from the reported burglary on Platte Avenue. When police got on scene, they say they located a man matching the suspect description, carrying the gun that had been reported stolen on Platte.
Police identified the man as Carlson, and took him into custody.
