Police have caught a man allegedly involved in the strong-arm robbery of a Springs woman late Tuesday night.

The victim told officers she had gotten a ride with the suspects, who then forced her out of the vehicle after stealing her purse and phone. People living in the area heard her cries for help and called police.

The victim was then able to give police a spot-on description of the vehicle, leading police to an apartment on East Woodmen.

Police say the occupants refused to come to the door at first, but after officers set up containment around the apartment, a man came out and said that no one else was there. A few minutes later, a woman exited and told officers that there was actually one more man inside.

Right before she let the officers in, police say a man jumped out a window and ran off. Police chased after him and soon had him detained. The man was identified as the suspect in the robbery.

Police have identified him as Troy Remington.
