A driver has been arrested for vehicular assault after allegedly rear-ending a motorcyclist.
Alcohol is now being investigated as a factor in the crash.
Police say the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet, and sustained serious head injuries.
The crash happened shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday at Colorado and Walnut in Colorado Springs, and closed Walnut in both directions for several hours while officers investigated. The road has since been reopened.
Police have not released the names of the people involved, but say the motorcyclist is a 32-year-old man, and the driver arrested is a 40-year-old woman. She faces several other traffic-related charges in addition to vehicular assault and has been booked in the CJC.
