Congress averts shutdown, backs spending bill

Congress has averted a government shutdown - with less than hour to spare.


The Environmental Protection Agency says it will pay $4.5 million to state, local and tribal governments for their emergency response to a mine spill that the EPA triggered, but the agency turned down $20.4 million in other requests for past and future expenses.

In addition to the four program standards, the Falcons also impacted the program’s all-time standings in two other events.

Posted: 12/09/2016 - An 18-2 run that started in the second quarter and ran through the beginning of the third quarter pushed the University of Colorado Colorado Springs to a 73-58 victory against Chadron State at the Chicoine Center. Jen Vigil and Anna Schwecke led the Mountain Lions (6-3, 3-0 RMAC) with 12 points each against the Eagles (1-5, 1-2 RMAC).
