At Lewis Palmer, the Rangers were hosting Liberty in a battle for first place in the Foothills Conference. The Rangers came in unbeaten, but the Lancers had already taken down the Pueblo South Colts on the road this season and they pulled off another upset beating Lewis Palmer in Monument 17-13 and they move into a tie for first in the conference.

It was another great night of high school football around Southern Colorado.

At Lewis Palmer, the Rangers were hosting Liberty in a battle for first place in the Foothills Conference. The Rangers came in unbeaten, but the Lancers had already taken down the Pueblo South Colts on the road this season and they pulled off another upset beating Lewis Palmer in Monument 17-13 and they move into a tie for first in the conference.

Speaking of Pueblo South, they got back on the winning track hosting Air Academy. The Colts were all over the Kadets 45-21.

In the 4A Pikes Peak League, it was another battle for first place between Pine Creek and Pueblo West and the Cyclones fall at home to Pine Creek 18-7. The Eagles remain perfect in the conference.

Mitchell entered the night riding high after a big win last Saturday over arch-rival Wasson. The Marauders won the coveted "helmet" trophy. Friday night they were at Widefield and the Gladiators were rolled at home 42-21 by Mitchell.

Elsewhere, Castle View beat Sierra 34-12, Woodland Park downed Harrison 15-6, Manitou Springs beat Dolores Huerta 27-7 and Smoky Hill doubled up Doherty 28-14.

In the 3A Southern League Canon City and Pueblo County were both unbeaten in league play coming in and the Hornets remain unbeaten after a 34-21 victory.
