The library will still have books and computers, but everything else it boast is decidedly more of the 21st century--hence its name! Posted: 06/18/2014 - Fort Carson Army Community Service and the Employment Readiness Program will host Career Day at the Special Events Center on Fort Carson Friday at 10 am. This event is an opportunity for approximately 90 employers in attendance to recruit and hire highly skilled, experienced, and qualified Service Members, Veterans, Retirees, spouses and family members. More than double the employers who attended last year’s job fair will be attendance. Employment Readiness Services is expecting up to 1,000 participants. Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring several copies of their résumés and adhere to a business casual dress code.
Posted: 06/18/2014 - Wednesday morning volunteers from Fort Carson will be serving pancakes, eggs, and coffee. It's an annual fundraiser that supports local military families. The breakfast will be served from 5:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and costs $5. Kids under five eat free. It will be at the corner of Pikes Peak and Tejon in downtown Colorado Springs.
