Peak Vista Community Health Clinics will deploy their mobile care unit and staff to large group meetings where child care workers are gathered to provide immunizations and assist CSFD with the fixed clinics. We believe the fulfillment of this initiative in conjunction with this collaborative approach will prevent illnesses and help protect the most vulnerable citizens among us, our children.

In honor of our service men and women, on-street metered parking downtown and off-street parking in the City-owned parking garages will be FREE on Saturday, November 10, 2012, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the Veterans Day Parade. The City Parking System offers free parking during the parade as a small gesture to show our appreciation for the military presence in Colorado Springs, and to encourage the community to come downtown to show their support.

Posted: 2:07 AM Nestle is recalling more than 200,000 canisters of "NesQuik" because of possible salmonella contamination.
Nestle said the problem occurred on batches of the the mix produced last month.
The bottom of the canisters say they are best to use by October 20-14.
Two of the smaller containers have a promotion for the current Disney movie "Wreck-It Ralph" on the side.
Nestle said the problem was caused by ingredient supplier Omya that it has issued a recall of certain lots of its ingredient.
Nestle said that there have been no reports of illness due to anyone who consumed the product.
Nestle said consumers who have the product can return to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Shelter staff believes the cats were separated from their owners during the Wetmore Fire. Posted: 6:27 AM A fund has been set up to help the families that lost loved ones in a deadly house fire in Pueblo this week.
April Hon, 26, and her two children, and 62-year-old Harvey Montoya were killed when a fire broke out in their Pueblo home early Tuesday morning.
The victims' families say this is a very difficult time for them, and any dollar amount will help with funeral arrangements.

All proceeds will go towards funeral expenses.
