Posted: 03/13/2014 - A Fort Carson Soldier, Staff Sergeant Dauphin Williams, Jr's video tribute to two fallen soldiers is now back on Facebook. Facebook had taken the video down and sent Dauphin a message saying use of a Boyz II Men song in the video was a violation of copyright. Williams launched a Facebook campaign requesting permission from the group that went viral, with more than 37,000 shares on our KKTV 11 News Facebook page. Williams ended up getting an email and call from Boyz II Men founding member Nathan Morris saying it would be an honor for their music to be used in the tribute. A link to the video is below.

Posted: 02/26/2014 - General Motors has doubled their recall to 1.6 million to fix faulty ignition switches linked to multiple fatal crashes. Posted: 02/24/2014 - Colorado Parks and Wildlife is looking for information about a deer that was found with an arrow sticking out of its head. The injured deer was reported to Colorado Parks and Wildlife on February 12 and had to be put down because of its injury. The deer, a fawn, was found in a neighborhood in northeast Colorado Springs, near Foothills Elementary School. The department also seeking information about another deer that was shot and killed. It was found less than five miles away from where the first deer was discovered. It's believed the deer was shot with an arrow while it was standing on the sidewalk. Operation Game Thief is offering a $500 reward for information leading to a citation being issued or an arrest being made. Updated: 02/17/2014 - The family of a local artist is asking for help from the community to buy back her paintings. Kristine Urban’s paintings were displayed at the London Olympics. Two months after she passed away from cancer her family lost their home and her paintings in the Black Forest Fire. The family wants to find copies of her art and buy them back or make copies.
