Pick up the cookie, place it in a bag, then put a sticker on the bag. Then start all over again... doing it 5,000 times.
Staffers at the Antler's Hilton have been working on a sweet treat assembly line for the last two days... getting cookies ready for the soldiers taking part in the Red, White & Brave Parade.
Audrey Landress says... she learned about the assignment in a text message.
Audrey says, "Okay this must be wrong. I had to call just to make sure!"
But it wasn't a mistake. Audrey's mixer has been going non-stop as well as her arm... scooping out 600 cookies per batch.
She tells me, "We've got 500 pounds of flour and 20,000 eggs."
Even though it's a lot of work... these workers say it'll be worth it to see the troops dig in and enjoy every morsel.
General Manager Alan Paty says, "It'll make us feel good to see them doing that and it'll be good just to see them home in Colorado Springs with us."
