Former Denver Broncos offensive lineman Mark Schlereth will step into a different kind of role today when he makes his debut on the CBS serial, "Guiding Light."

The show's casting director spotted Schlereth doing work for ESPN, and thought he'd be perfect for the part of detective Roc Hoover.

Schlereth obliged.

He said during an interview last month that he was uncomfortable and nervous during taping, but that he's always tried NOT to let fear and anxiety stop him from trying new things.

"Guiding Light" airs on CBS television stations nationwide this afternoon.

Let's focus a little, ok a LOT more on what goes on in the Springs. If people want to know what's going on 80 miles up the road they can watch a Denver news channel.
