A lot of hype and controversy are surrounding two major Colorado Springs issues on this year's ballot.

Starting at 7 a.m. voters can drop off their ballot at any of the three locations spread out across Colorado Springs. To make things easier, the city has set up curbside drop-off service. This year, the city started the service a day early (Monday) in hopes to make things easier for voters. "We thought it was important to have the added convenience for voters in this election," said election manager Liz Olson.

As of Tuesday afternoon at 5:30 p.m., 105,000 ballots had already been cast, of the 279,000 mailed out.

In comparison, in 2007, about 60,000 ballots were cast, another non-presidential year.

If you believe you are a registered voter and have not received a ballot, you still have time to cast your vote. "They need to get to our office downtown at Centennial Hall so we can help resolve the issue of there is one," said manager Olson.

If you haven't already returned your mail-in ballot, it is too late to mail it. You will need to hand deliver it to a drop-off location by 7 p.m. Tuesday night.

Congrats, Colorado Springs, you let Doug Bruce decide for you again. Just watch our local economy hit the dumps now. Can't wait to hear the complaints about our parks conditions this summer. Try to attract new companies here now. Maybe the ones who pay minimum wage. Ignorance abounds.
