John McCain opened his town hall meeting in Pueblo by telling supporters that he and running mate Sarah Palin are a "team of two mavericks."

McCain praised Palin's performance in her debate with Joe Biden while speaking to a packed arena at Colorado State University on Friday.

It's the first time a Republican presidential candidate has visited the city since 1912 when Teddy Roosevelt stumped there.

A political scientist at Colorado State University-Pueblo says McCain is trying to chip away at the Democratic advantage in Pueblo. Mark Gose says rural areas around the city are becoming more Republican.

Democrat Barack Obama visited the city about a month ago.

Hmmm....perhaps everyone could stand to do some research....I thought Austin Goolsbee was Obama's Chief Economic Advisor, and There are pleanty of articles out there which totally debunk the theory that Kay stated below indicating that Raines, Howard and Johnson are in the Obama Camp as advisors and what not....Perhaps you should have a more open mind and really seek the truth, not just what is told to you in a 30 sec clip from you tube, or in McCauly's world weblog....or wherever you people get your totally unfounded information.

Kay, why is it that anyone with a hispanic last name is an "illegal"? I am sure that many hispanic families have lived in southern colorado far longer than those of other ethnic backgrounds...

Bush got us several rebates and stimulus check I am sure you have had no trouble cashing, Martinez, unless you are an illegal or something. Why don't you go find out who the ring leaders of Fannie Mae are ? FRANKLIN RAINES? Raines works for the Obama Campaign as Chief Economic Advisor TIM HOWARD? Howard is also a Chief Economic Advisor to Obama JIM JOHNSON? Johnson hired as a Senior Obama Finance Advisor and was selected to run Obama’s Vice Presidential Search Committee IF OBAMA PLANS ON CLEANING UP THE MESS - HIS ADVISORS HAVE THE EXPERTISE - THEY MADE THE MESS IN THE FIRST PLACE. Would yo u trust the men who tore Wall Street down to build the New Wall Street? Research Acorn they are trying to hush now in the public. Obama is nothing but a self serving snake. This is not propaganda, its researchable, open to the public, documentable fact. Where do you think "free health care" will come from Martinez in Obama's plan ? A NEW EMPLOYMENT TAX. Obama =TAX HIKE

I wonder how much McCain paid his marketing guys to create the like "Mavrick" Because now he's using it like it's going out of style. A Mavrick is a rebel, why do we want a rebel in office? The entire "Mavrick" line is telling me one thing, it says that McCain knows the Republicans are the problem, so he was also the problem. Thus proving he is all about keeping the same Bush policies. Remember this line? "Read my Lips, No New Taxes" That one didnt last to long either.

Nobody makes it this far in the race by being a "Maverick". Give me a break. The choices we have at this point will continue on with the same policies, same agenda.
