June was a good month for Democratic fundraising.

Barack Obama raised 52 million dollars, more than twice as much as his Republican rival John McCain.

It was Obama's second-best fundraising month of the year. He raised 55 million in February.

The Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee ended the month with a combined total of 92.3 million dollars in the bank. But the Democrats still lag Republican John McCain's presidential campaign and the Republican Party.

Last week, McCain reported raising more than 22 million in June, which was his best month of the year. Together, the McCain campaign and the Republican National Committee began July with about 95 million in the bank.

The reason the Republicans have more money in the bank is that the DNC has spent much of its money, leaving little cash on hand.

FOR SALE - AMERICAN PRESIDENCY How about if we elect a President the old fashioned way, through fair and honest elections, based upon the candidate's actual patriotism, experience, judgement, and service to country ... instead of who is more of a showman, or who can raise more money ... and therefore buy the Presidency ... (like Barack Obama did in the primaries), and is trying to do in the general election.

Is this actually important information? We have people starving, people who can't pay their bills, but these whackjobs have millions of dollars lying around to throw away like trash?
