To those less educated - it's not always about race. Those with little to say usually head in that direction and themselves make it appear to be about something else. Get over it already!

Loretta, don't you know that the DEMONcRATS have been in charge of Congress for the last 2 years?

Posted by: Tom Location: Colorado Springs on Jul 2, 2008 at 01:16 PM
Yeah Bobby Jo, I dont know whats scarier...the economy/global warming/troops dying/poverty or you wanting everything to stay the same with McCain...

Posted by: Bobby Jo Location: Colorado Springs on Jul 2, 2008 at 12:01 PM
Oh look! the messiah is here! Ugh. I don't know what's scarier, the fact that Obama sees himself as the second coming, or that people actually believe his blithering load of bull.

I can't believe what some of you idiots are saying on here. If you think that our economy is going to get any better with another 4 years of a Bush advocate (McCain)then you must be walking around here blind. I think everyone should is tired of paying 4 dollars a gallon in gas, our troops dying for no reason, and houses going into forclosure. Barack is the only chance we have to get outta this slump. So THANK YOU Barack for stepping up and trying to fix this mess the Bush administration has created!!!

Troy, you're not even worth an answer, but... of course our enemies hate us and terrorist hate everyone.

"Angel", "Support Bush" and "Lex": Sound bites are things that are taken completely out of context and presented that way. All you people that say, "He'll open the door for terrorist." C'mon, kids. Stop being so scared of everything. Take a look at our borders and ask yourself how safe against "the evil terrorists" we are. The fact that the war in Iraq was started with lies and is completely illegal seems to escape everyone's minds. This country has no honor because it doesn't honor its own rules. All this nonsense of "you democrats/liberals" and "you right-wingers and republicans".... good grief kids...grow up. And you wonder why our enemies hate us? Take a look at yourselves and our society. It's a bunch of immature, scared little kids.

Nicole, the shift to claiming it being about race when someone dislikes Obama discounts those who truly have been affected by hate crimes. I see a mix below of lack of substance from both McCain and Obama supporters. Change does need to happen and neither McCain or Obama is the one to deliver it. One is a hot head and stubborn and the other while an engaging inexperienced person who will have to rely on the established fail Dem to led and advice him. This country is in trouble when it has the choice of dumb and dumber

During the Democratic primaries I was in favor of Obama, for what he said and how he said he would do it. After the primaries, he has changed his colors and he has shown himself to be pandering to what he believes voters want. He has changed his view on the public finance and funding, he is now saying NAFTA isnt so bad and recently the public funds for religious outreach programs. He is no different now than all the other politicians who change their colors to camouflage from issues and their promise , they blend in with what the perceived voter demand is. Looking at the facts of what he wants to do with taxes and energy policy, he will lead us directly into a pit, a very deep pit!!!!

For the first time in a long time we actually have two decent candidates from which to pick. So perhaps a discussion that revolved around their policies and not the personal hated or admiration that you feel toward a particular candidate would be a better course of action. At the moment I am undecided as to which person I will vote for, but the absurd amount of baseless hatred in the language below is causing me to favor Obama. At least his supports seem to be willing to discuss issues without resorting name-calling and threats.

Obama!Obama!Obama!Welcome to Colorful Colorado!

So who is on the "invitation only" list?

Posted by: Mike Location: Colorado Springs on Jun 30, 2008 at 07:48 PM
I appreciate the fact that Sen. Obama co-sponsored the new GI Bill with Sen. Webb, so we veterans can have a real benefit. Bush and McAcain opposed the bill and now are lying about it.

I don't like McCain or Obama, has nothing to do with color. But it's always something some like to use when it's convient. Color or race is not the point but what they stand for, who has the better plan? Nither. Beside Obama is mixed, not black.

Posted by: SGM Jones Location: C/S on Jun 30, 2008 at 06:00 PM
Obama won't fix jack bo diddley. The Dems have been in control of Congress for over two years and the economy gets progressively worse. Obama is full of hot air and has no business in the oval office until he's served in the Armed Forces.

Posted by: Nicole Location: Colorado Springs on Jun 30, 2008 at 03:27 PM
It is hilarious how ridiculously substance lacking the anti-Obama posts are. These people don't know anything about Obama and believe their e-mail forward. Many are just blatantly racist but will never admit that they just don't like Obama because he is black. I looked at both candidates seriously before deciding on Obama. The way I see it, John McCain wants to continue the policies of the failed Bush administration. We need change now, and Obama is our man.

Hate people that are not like us? What's wrong with you COMPASSION? Those peole want to KILL Americans. They want this forked tongue fool in the White House. The people that were killed were Americans. These people hate us no matter how much COMPASSION we have. At least Bush isn't a push over, he does not back down and he stands by what he says.

Interesting comments. Be real. Not all military are against Obama-speak for yourself. We are Commissioned Officers in US Army not only voting for Obama but VOLUNTEERING for the good cause. OBAMA 2008!!!!!

Posted by: ComPassion Location: Colorado Springs on Jun 29, 2008 at 08:08 PM
Does a potential leader have to threaten to blow stuff up and kill people to impress this crowd? WHAT IF you could listen to a man without all of your pre-Foxed prejudice coloring every thought you have? What if there is a leader about to be YOUR President who won't further a world where you have to hate people who are not you? You'll have 4 yrs to work thru that in your own lives. Good luck.

Posted by: Angel Location: Black Forest on Jun 29, 2008 at 05:28 PM
Obama you hate the military and everyone who supports us. YOU has no clue on defense and will leave this country open to terrorists. In my mind you are a threat to the national security of our nation. You changes loyalties to your friends and family like you change underpants. You will ruin this country. Don't ruin my United States of America by your presence. How dare you come to a military town and have the nerve to say you are for us military people. After 2 tours as a marine and not talking to Petraeus, I say...Obama, put your socialist ideas in a different country!! If I see you on the road and you try to shake my hand I'll spit in your eye. You're scum Obama and a liar! You may have feeble minded liberals fooled, but there are people who see you for who you are!! We see you for your sound bites and no substance!

My comment did not post either. I spoke what I feel to be the truth and has been exposed on Fox news. I used no type of names or profanity. I've heard the reason O'Bama is leading in the polls is because the media has chosen to protect O,Bama. At least one station put it out there.

Bush and his cabal are the most evil group of creatures since Clinton was in office. Kucinich/Paul 2008

Here you go again Bob, messing with Bush. I think this is about the make you feel good guy Obama. I want to hear you praise him once he's in the House. Oh I forgot you can still blame Bush long after he leaves office. That's what you dems are good at. I can still hear the dem congress, we're gonna do this and change that. I know Bob Bush is still holding them back from getting everything done, if only he'd just let them get their work done.

Posted by: Bob Location: Colorado Springs on Jun 28, 2008 at 10:08 AM
Are our men not "already" in harms way?? What the heck are you talking about Lex?? I think Bush already did a great job of disgracing our military!!

Barak-O, The Clueless Candidate. Welcome to Colorado...NOW SHUT-UP & GO HOME!!!!

Posted by: Lex Location: Colorado on Jun 28, 2008 at 12:54 AM
What is wrong my comments are to strong. remember I served for freedom and free speech. My comments had no foul language in them. I thought they were honest.

Posted by: Lex Location: Colorado on Jun 28, 2008 at 12:45 AM
I hope that man stays away. He is a man that would disgrace the military. A man who would put men in harms way, but will not let them win in Iraq.

Posted by: Angel Location: Colo Spgs on Jun 27, 2008 at 11:49 PM
As if we needed more cr@p here. Obama stinks of it because he's sure full of it!! He always changes the story to fit what people want to hear, then changes it when the supposedly popular thought is different.

Posted by: Lex Location: Colorado on Jun 27, 2008 at 11:37 PM
That man speaks well when it comes giving the people a line of bull. He is not what he says he is. Remember when the Dems took over in 2006. They said they bring down gas prices. The gas prices have doubled. Think with your head people, he just wants to make our country a socialist country. A man who sits in a church for twenty years and hears nothing of the hate speech that was given. I been to quit a few churches in my life but nothing like what I heard from his church. I could not believe that a veteran who served this country had so much hate in him. So all those years, what do those children of his think?
