MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin's presidential primary election is only a little more than a week away, but many voters here can't be bothered to think about it.
They've been preoccupied with the effort to recall Republican Gov. Scott Walker from office.
Supporters and opponents of Walker have been running television ads for months about the effort to remove him from office. The vote on his recall likely will be held in June.
The recall campaign has siphoned most of the attention from the April 3 primary here even though the Republican presidential nomination is still being contested.
Romney campaign co-chair Ted Kanavas says he knows Wisconsin voters are distracted, but he can't blame them. The Walker recall has become the focus of a national battle over labor rights.
