Need a job? 11 News and the Pikes Peak Workforce Center are here to help!

We've teamed up to hold a job fair Thursday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The job fair will be at Mr. Biggs Entertainment Center on 5825 Mark Dabling Boulevard. PPWFC recommends all prospective job applicants come prepared for interviews: dress professionally, bring several copies of your resume, and arrive early.

Click here for a full list of employers expected at the job fair.

I am shocked at this mentality of "Oh my goodness, I might have to move to a different city." The economy has changed. Getting the perfect job in just the right place may not be possible. People feel way too entitled around here! You never know, moving to a different place might end up being better.

I mean, really, I should "bring a resume and dress appropriately" for......what job, exactly? Would you send the same cover letter to every potential employer? No, you probably wouldn't. I wouldn't show up at a job fair not knowing who is hiring.

What PPWFC neglects to mention is 95% of the companies are looking for employees to relocate to other cites and even states. Yet, another misleading article to provide empty hope or promise.

You are 100% CORRECT. My husband has been going to every job fair that Colorado Springs has offered - he is STILL hoping for a job, ANY job here in Colorado. It's false hope to job seekers to have these functions when most of the positions require relocation or jobs overseas in combat zones.
