Hundreds of new jobs are headed to Colorado Springs, Mayor Steve Bach announced Monday morning.
The company Stellar Restaurant Solutions, which started locally, works as a call center for some of the nation's biggest restaurant chains. When things started to expand, they thought about moving out of Colorado, but thanks to some changes have decided to stick around.
Having Stellar expand means hundreds of jobs to start--and maybe even thousands down the road.
Stellar's CEO Steve Bigari says the decision to stay in the Springs didn't come lightly, and had a lot to do with Bach.
"We need someone to treat us like we belong...to help use the resources of the city as appropriate to help streamline decisions and help get things done more quickly; get us quality people; and get our permits on time. He's completely changed the heart of the city towards business," Bigari said.
Bigari said the quality of employees here in Colorado also played a big part in their decision to stay.
The expansion is already underway, but it's unclear when those jobs we'll be available. We'll let you know when we learn more.
