With Memorial Day fast approaching, 11 News is looking at statewide gas prices to help you organize those holiday weekend travel plans.
According to AAA, Coloradans and others from western states are expected to be on the move for Memorial Day weekend: 2.5 million residents of Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming, are expected to travel at least 50 miles over the weekend. 1.6 percent more than last year.
The cheapest gas in the Springs is currently at Western Convenience on Uintah and 19th, where gas can be found at $3.65 a gallon. The most pricey is at the Shell on 8th and Cimarron, where gas is $3.89. According to gasbuddy.com, the average price in the Springs is $3.75 a gallon, a few cents over the national average of $3.69.
The cheapest gas in the state is at the Lowell Mart in Westminister for $3.59 a gallon. The most expensive gas is at the Phillips 66 in Basalt, where has is $4.17 a gallon.
