There may be an end in sight for the current skyrocketing gas prices, but likely not soon enough to ease the pain drivers are feeling in their wallets.
AAA says it expects gas prices to rise through mid-May. We're currently heading into spring with the highest prices ever to start the season.
In just the last week alone, gas prices have risen more than 13 cents in Colorado Springs, though at an average of $3.57, prices remain well below the national average of $3.81. Though it's likely of little solace to Colorado drivers, prices in the state are lower than anywhere else in the country outside of Wyoming.
South Carolina, New Mexico and Utah round out the five states with the nation's lowest gas prices.
Fort Collins and Denver currently have the lowest prices of Colorado cities, at $3.53 and $3.54 respectively.
