The Salvation Army is asking the community for one final push as the 2008 Red Kettle Campaign comes to a close on Christmas Eve.
Donations fell last week by $20,000 compared to what was received in 2007. The campaign’s goal is $600,000, a 10 percent increase from last year.
If unsuccessful, The Salvation Army says they will be forced to cut services to the homeless, children and seniors throughout El Paso County, including The New Hope Center- Colorado Springs only 24/7 homeless shelter.
