Tax breaks for companies that create jobs and more money for job training are among the proposals Gov. Bill Ritter will push next year to stimulate Colorado's economy during a recession.
Ritter said Thursday he'll ask lawmakers to pass four bills to help the economy.
Along with the measures on tax breaks and job training at community colleges, Ritter's package includes state-backed loans for small businesses and expanding a state investment fund for clean energy.
The governor says a state tax revenue forecast due Friday will show that Colorado's economy has soured, though not as much as in other states.
