CLEVELAND (AP) -- A financially strapped local school district in Ohio is taking a cue from Detroit.

Olmsted Falls Superintendent Todd Hoadley is seeking a piece of the $700 billion federal economic bailout package. He's asked the Treasury Department for $100 million. Hoadley cites rising enrollment and strained finances that have forced his district to convert maintenance closets into classrooms.

Hoadley says he'll be disappointed if Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland don't approve his request.
