The Colorado State Fair is going to a four-day work week to cut utility costs
Full-time employees will work 10-hour days at least until April. Fair general manager Chris Wiseman says the new schedule should save $53,000.
The move is part of the fair's ongoing efforts to reduce expenses and shore up its overall finances. The fair has struggled with budget deficits in recent years.
The fairgrounds will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays.
