Police have now identified the Colorado Springs man who was shot several times late on Halloween night. The victim, 29-year-old Bob Maiava, remains in critical condition and the gunman is still at large.
The shooting happened on the corner of Cimarron and S. Tejon St. in the parking lot of the Bank of Broadmoor at around 12:45 a.m. early Sunday morning.
Witnesses say they saw a man shoot another man. Both men, they say, had been fighting earlier at the Sodo Nightclub at 527 South Tejon St. A Sodo manager tells 11 News, the shooter and the victim never entered the club.
"The male had sustained multiple gun shot wounds to his torso," said Sgt. Rick Cirka with Colorado Springs Police.
Witnesses who were interviewed by police say they saw a man crouching behind a Nissan Pathfinder when they heard several rounds of shots fired. Witnesses say the shooter then ran away and was last seen heading east on Cimarron St.
Colorado Springs Police say they had a difficult time securing the scene because of the Halloween party goers trying to retrieve their cars from the parking lot where the shooting happened.
Police say their suspect is described as a light skinned black male, 6’1”, with a possible dread lock hairstyle. The suspect apparently left the area of the shooting on foot.
The Violent Crimes Investigations unit responded and is conducting an investigation.
Anyone with information in regards to this shooting is encouraged to contact the Colorado Springs Police Department at 444-7000 or they can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.

I love how Sodo quickly claims they were never there. Love how these nightclubs grab your money, but claim nothing. LOL. No thanks, I'll keep my money and my safety.
