After four decades of professional baseball in Colorado Springs as the Sky Sox, we are excited to announce the next chapter of professional baseball with a new identity and want you to become a part of our future! As baseball continues to evolve and advance, Colorado Springs deserves a team and brand that is representative of this city and our community. Be a part of history by embracing this rare opportunity to help create our new identity.

The Elmore Sports Group announced they will move its rookie-advanced Helena franchise to Colorado Springs to join the Pioneer League in 2019 . The rookie level has introduced the careers of notable players including Corey Seager, Todd Helton, Trevor Story, and recent MVPs Jose Altuve and Giancarlo Stanton.

There is no better way to welcome in a new era of Colorado Springs Professional Baseball than by having our fans help name and brand this team, creating an exciting, new game-day experience. We need your stories to develop an identity that will be true to the heart of Colorado Springs.

The process begins on Wednesday, June 13 when fans are encouraged to submit their idea for a team name along with an explanation of why that name is significant to the Springs. Fans have until Wednesday, June 27 to submit their ideas. The top five to seven options will be announced and fans will have an opportunity to vote on their favorite team name. One fan whose entry is chosen as the winning team name will win four field-level season tickets for the 2019 season, an authentic, personalized team jersey, and an on-field introduction on Opening Night 2019 with the opportunity to throw out a ceremonial first pitch.
