EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - A thief snatched a package that investigators originally thought had nearly $400 worth of insulin inside, and now the El Paso County Sheriff's Office is hoping for the public's help in tracking down a group of suspects.
The sheriff's office says the crime happened on Monday at about 4:40 p.m. in the 4200 block of Arvol Circle. The neighborhood is just northeast of Security-Widefield. Someone stole a package from the front porch of a home.
A neighbor saw the FedEx truck drop off the package and a silver sedan with a black trunk followed right behind. The neighbor noticed a tall white woman get out of the passenger side of the car, walk up to the front porch and grab the package. Originally, investigators thought the package contained about $360 worth of insulin. 11 News learned from the victims the package was not the insulin package they were expecting that day. The victims received the insulin package on Tuesday. However, the original package taken still contained items that were stolen.
The vehicle was driven by a white man with two other men in the back seat.
The vehicle is described as a silver 1998 to 2001 Audi A4 with a black hood and trunk, three black rims, one silver rim on the rear passenger side and possibly a black and white panda sticker in the back window. A picture of the vehicle can be found at the top of this article.
