This evening we could see some spotty showers in the Pikes Peak Region with stronger isolated storms on the eastern plains later tonight. No Red Flag Warnings are in effect today, but RH values will be ranging from 10-15 percent this afternoon near the Hayden Pass Fire...Dry air plus a breezy westerly wind will allow for fire growth, but wind should fan flames away from Hwy 50 and populated areas, like Coaldale.
Fire weather relief arrives Thursday and Friday with better chances for spotty showers and storms and cooler temps. Highs will drop to the mid 80s to low 90s. Rain chances will be very spotty these days... There will be a possibility of strong to severe storms east of I-25.
The start of the weekend offers up slight chances for scattered storms mainly in the Pikes Peak Region as highs return to the low to upper 90s outside of the mountain regions.
Sunday looks dry and hot. Slight chances for showers and storms return early next week.
