Man arrested after false report of a rooftop shooter in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police set up a perimeter in a southeast Colorado Springs neighborhood Tuesday afternoon after they received a report of a rooftop shooter.

The call came in at about 2:30 p.m. on a shooting in the 3400 block of Osprey Ridge Dr. The person that called it in claimed there were multiple victims that were shot. Police and emergency personnel quickly responded to the area and set up a perimeter.

When officers arrived on scene they spoke with the person that made the call and also claimed to be a victim. It was later learned that no one was shot.

A 21-year-old man, Zachery Henderson, was arrested for false reporting to authorities.

Soaring Eagle Elementary was placed on a short lockout as the situation was resolved.
