COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Some residents in northeast Colorado Springs were asked to shelter in place while a search warrant was executed in the 3400 block of Mountainside Drive Friday.
Streets were blocked off in the area. Homeowners were asked to shelter in place just before 1 p.m.
Police say the situation started at about 4 in the morning when they were in the process of executing an arrest and search warrant at a home. The male suspect refused to leave the home.
At about 3 p.m. an officer told an 11 News reporter on scene the man was in custody and the shelter in place was lifted.
