FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KKTV) - Colorado State Patrol say a tired driver is to blame for a crash that sent packages flying near the interstate.
The driver of a USPS contracted truck was falling asleep at the wheel Friday morning while driving on I-25 just south of Fountain. He reportedly veered to the left, overcorrected and rolled into a ditch.
The driver was ejected from the car. His condition is unknown.
USPS says they are securing the packages and will re-sort them to be delivered. They do not anticipate any package loss, but to be safe, if you were expecting a package soon, make sure to check tracking information. USPS will include a note with the package if there was damage caused by the crash.
