DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - A suspected DUI driver led law enforcement on a long chase Thursday night. The suspect has not been caught.
It began when authorities in Douglas County tried to stop a truck just north of Colorado Springs.
The driver headed south on I-25, refusing to stop. Eventually, Colorado State Patrol became involved and placed "stop sticks" near Interquest and Briargate Parkways.
The tires on the truck were blown out, but the driver kept going and troopers lost site of the vehicle.
Eventually, the truck was found abandoned near an office building on Kelly Johnson Boulevard, near North Academy Boulevard. The truck was taken to the impound lot.
Douglas County enforcement remain the lead investigators.
