COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - How cool would it be to visit Santa at the North Pole?
Santa has a vacation village in southern Colorado.
If you're looking to escape into a world of holiday fun, there's a place not too far away.
It's Santa's Workshop, also known as North Pole, Colorado. It's a theme park that's been open for the last 60 years.
Traditions there include a little bit of everything, including vintage rides that have been there for several decades.
Nine-year-old Reyna James has been to the North Pole about 10 times.
"Riding all the rides," she said.
Mom said it's all about spending time with loved ones in a winter wonderland.
"It's just so fun to get into the holiday spirit year around and see the Christmas decorations all year round," Erin James said.
For others, it's all about meeting Santa.
"I promise you a very special Christmas," said Santa to a little girl who wanted a My Little Pony as a present.
But Santa won't be there for long.
He's getting ready for his big trip around the world.
Time is running out to get those last minute present requests in.
Santa's Workshop Village is open Dec. 22 through Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Doors close at 4 on Christmas Eve so Santa can start his deliveries.
