UPDATE: Florence suspicious device turns out to be Geocache

FLORENCE, Colo. (KKTV) - Several law enforcement agencies responded to a suspicious object brought to the Florence Police Department Saturday morning.

According to the Fremont County Sheriff's Office, deputies assisted Florence police after a citizen brought an unknown object that they found to the department.

Once the Pueblo bomb squad arrived and accessed the situation, they discovered the object was a Geocache container. A Geocache is a worldwide outdoor activity, often involving hidden containers that are marked by coordinates.

Roads in the area of the department, located at 600 W. 3rd Street, were closed during the investigation, but have since reopened. People living nearby were also notified.
