Power almost fully restored San Isabel customers

PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - San Isabel Electric Association continues to work to fully restore power following Monday's wind storms. Just 50 homes remain without power as of Friday morning.

On Friday, crews released a statement that the town of Aguilar and all scattered locations had their power restored. The 50 locations without power are either vacant or have been structurally damaged, according to the release.

High winds caused isolated outages starting at 7 a.m. Monday, with numbers rising throughout the day. The only areas not impacted were Walsenburg and Pueblo West.

The wind severely damaged 10 transmission poles and more than 50 distribution poles. Two outside contractors joined SIEA crews Wednesday in repairing the damage.

Members with operating phone numbers have been receiving calls with updates. They have encouraged residents needing assistance to call the Las Animas County Sherriff or 211.

Those who have not been restored are asked to be patient.

"Rest assured you'll be on as soon as possible," the company posted on its Facebook page.
