Police search for attempted armed robbery suspects

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A man is luckily OK after someone reportedly pulled a gun on him in southeast Colorado Springs.

Officers were called to the area of W. St. Elmo and S. Cascade avenues just after 11:30 Friday night.

According to their investigation, a man was walking when a truck with three men inside pulled up next to him. The front passenger of the vehicle allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and demanded everything that he had.

At that point, officers say the victim backed away and the driver of the truck took off. They were last seen heading north on S. Tejon Street and Cheyenne Boulevard.

The suspect description is very limited, as police say it was very dark in the area. They're only described as three men who were all in their 20s with white or light-colored skin. The truck was an older, dark-colored truck, possibly gray, with a small back seat area.

No injuries were reported.

If anyone has information on who the suspects may be, call police at 719-444-7000 or remain anonymous through Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP.
