Police identify suspect in deadly liquor store shooting

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police say they have identified the suspect in a deadly shooting early in the week.

One person was shot on the night of Jan. 7 at Astro Liquors on 3865 Astrozon Boulevard. The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and later died.

Saturday, crediting tips from the public, police said they had identified the suspected shooter.

Officers are now looking for 30-year-old Charles Lobato. Lobato is described as a 5-foot-7, 155-pound Hispanic man with brown hair and brown eyes. He may have a mustache and goatee and sometimes wears his hair shaven. He has several tattoos, including a Broncos emblem on his chest and the word "Park" on his right hand.

Police say Lobato should be considered armed and dangerous and urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 911 right away.
