SEATTLE (KKTV) - Four Seattle police officers were injured in Seattle while responding to a robbery.
Police were called to a robbery at a convenience store. When they arrived, a suspect hit one officer in the head with a bottle. That suspect ran and according to police, began to exchange gunfire with officers.
Both a male and female officer were shot during the incident.
There were reportedly three suspects involved. The first suspect and man who exchanged gunfire with police was later found dead at the scene. The second suspect, a 17-year-old female, was taken into custody, along with a 19-year-old male.
Three officers were taken to the hospital for treatment. One male officer was shot in the chin and rib cage and is in serious, but stable condition. The female officer is doing OK thanks to her bulletproof vest. The third male officer was treated and released for a hand injury. A fourth injured officer, who was hit in the head with a bottle, was treated at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
