Man says he was carjacked, shot

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A shooting victim says he was attacked while crooks stole his car Sunday.

But without a suspect description, police say they do not have any information on who shot him.

The incident was reported Sunday night near Academy and Chelton in Colorado Springs. After he was shot in the leg, with his car long gone, the victim said he managed to hobble over to a Walgreens and call for help. He was then transported to the hospital and is expected to recover.

Police tell 11 News the victim is telling them little else about the shooting, and officers currently do not have a lot to go on in the investigation.

Police say they don't believe the public is in any danger.
