London Log - Eye in the Sky

By  |

(KKTV) - I love to travel and I try to do it whenever possible. When I am fortunate enough to have a really cool experience, I like to share it here in the hope that others can do it too! I’m posting some travel tips from a recent trip to London.
Eye in the Sky
You can get some breathtaking views from the London Eye!

Eye super wide
Each capsule holds up to 28 passengers, and a rotation from top to bottom takes about 30 minutes. On my trips I’ve noticed that in a crowded capsule the best window spots are filled quickly by anxious photographers. Don’t panic. As the ride goes on, everyone calms down, many sit down, and you will get your spot up front to get the best pictures of the iconic scenes below, or even to get you group/family photo with Big Ben behind you all.

It’s best to book online for a couple of reasons. First, you can save about 10 percent on each ticket. Right now they’re listed at the equivalent $31.00 per adult. That’s not cheap, but how often are you going to be in London? I believe it’s worth the ride to see the sights from way up high.

Eye inside
The second reason is the wait times. There’s a long wait inside the neighboring building just to buy your tickets. Then there’s another long wait, outside near the giant wheel itself, to get your security check and get on board. You can skip both lines if you are able to spend about $11.00 more per adult. That’s for the fast track ticket that lets you go to a separate, much shorter line to board. It’s worth the extra money, especially if your time in London is limited.
