Local roofer facing lawsuit

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A local roofer is facing a lawsuit and he's talking with 11 Call for Action about how he's trying to catch up on work throughout our community. We reached out to ProTeam Roofing after several viewers reached out to our 11 Call for Action team.

Tammra Hasling hired ProTeam Roofing to fix her client's roof.

"It's an older property and it needed a roof. It's in dire need of repair. The client owns the property and it's my responsibility to get it repaired," said Hasling of Professional Fiduciary Services.

The contract shows she hired ProTeam last year. It doesn't list a date work should be completed by. Hasling said months went by and no work was done.

"The $22,000 check had cleared, no supplies had been ordered or delivered to the property and a roof still is in disarray," Hasling said.

"He bidded us a good price and he took off and ran with it -- $22,000 down the drain, trying to get that back," said Adam Hasling, the field manager.

They eventually hired another company to fix the roof and filed a civil suit against ProTeam.

11 News reached out to ProTeam Roofing and the owner said he cannot comment on Hasling's case since it's still ongoing. He told us his company has gotten behind, but he said they will get caught up on all of their jobs by the end of the month.
