COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Low creeks can quickly transform into rushing rivers in a Colorado rainstorm.
Two people found themselves trapped on rocks in the middle of Sand Creek after the Springs got hit by a round of heavy rain late Tuesday afternoon.
Water levels rose dramatically with the rain, and the pair was unable to get back to dry land. Firefighters had to come out and rescue them.
The incident happened in the area of Airport Road and Murray Boulevard.
Neither person involved was injured.
The water rescue is a good reminder of how dangerous it is to go into creeks and rivers, especially when there is a chance for rain in the forecast.
