CAÑON CITY, Colo. (KKTV) - If you're looking for that perfect Christmas tree that can't be found at the store or you want a Griswold-like Christmas, the Bureau of Land Management has announced when tree permits will be available for purchase.
Pikes Peak Ranger District
The Pikes Peak Ranger District will be offering Christmas tree permits from Nov. 27 through Dec. 15 at the District Office from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Permits are $10 per tree, with a limit of five permits per person.

San Carlos Ranger District
This year the San Carlos Ranger District will be selling Christmas tree permits from Nov. 20 to Dec. 24. Permits can be purchased at Forest Service offices in Cañon City and Pueblo during regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For purchases in La Veta, call (719) 742-3681 or Westcliffe, call (719) 783-2079 for office hours. Permits cost $10 per tree with a limit of two trees per family.
