Man killed in Platte and Wooten crash ID'd

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police have identified the man killed in a crash Friday in Colorado Springs.

The two-vehicle crash happened around 5 p.m. The intersection of Platte and Wooten and surrounding blocks were closed for more than six hours during the investigation.

Police say 39-year-old Scott Sisk lost control of his vehicle, crossed the median and collided with a family of five in a Chevy Tahoe. Sisk died at the scene, while the family all suffered minor injuries.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.

At this time last year, there were 30 traffic fatalities in Colorado Springs. Sisk's death marked the 32nd traffic fatality in the Springs in 2017.
