Crews battle structure fire in Yoder

YODER, Colo. (KKTV) - A man was taken to the hospital after his house caught fire.

It took a while to put out the flames because of strong winds, Tri-County Fire Chief Scott Markle said. Firefighters monitored the house for several hours to make sure it didn't spark back up.

The house fire started Saturday afternoon at 33510 Big Springs Road, north of Highway 94 in Yoder.

When fire crews arrived, flames could be seen coming out of the roof, firefighters said.

The cause of the fired is under investigation.
