Crews battle fire overnight north of Pikes Peak International Raceway

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - Crews worked quickly overnight to contain a fire that burned near Pikes Peak International Raceway.

Hanover Fire Department was the lead on the firefighting efforts, however, several agencies worked to put it out.

It burned about five acres on the south end of Clear Spring Ranch near Old Pueblo and Hanover roads and was contained by 4:30 a.m. Wednesday. No homes were threatened.

It caused a brief power outage in the area, but that has since been restored.

The cause remains under investigation.
