Corwin International Magnet School on 'secure perimeter' Monday afternoon

PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - Corwin International Magnet School in Pueblo was placed on secure perimeter Monday afternoon.

School was scheduled to get out at 3:10 p.m. and the school allowed students out slowly by grade for police activity in the area. The school is just north of Lake Minnequa.

Pueblo police say they found a suspicious package near the lake, the package is about 100 yards from school grounds. The bomb squad responded to the scene.

There were no explosive devices found in a package that was designed to look like an explosive device.
