AURORA, Colo. (KKTV) - A suspicious device briefly threatened to derail Black Friday shopping at an Aurora mall.
Police say they had to evacuate the Best Buy and adjoining parking lot at the Southlands shopping center on the southeast side of the city.
The police department tweeted a little before midnight that the device had been removed by a bomb squad robot. Police then swept the area for any remaining devices or suspicious-looking items.
It's still unclear what the device was. At last update from the police department, the bomb squad was going to examine it before destroying it.
Best Buy reopened Friday morning in time for shoppers.
