Box truck fire shuts down lanes on I-25

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A box truck caught fire on I-25 late Saturday morning, causing major delays.

The fire sparked on northbound I-25 around 11:35 a.m. near Interquest Parkway in Colorado Springs. A large, dark plume could be seen from the area at the start of the fire.

Colorado State Patrol initially had three lanes shut down going north, where drivers were slowly getting by through a single lane. By 12:25 p.m., the scene was clear and the fire was completely out.

There were no injuries reported.
