Book drive for children and families in need

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Pikes Peak United Way and Executives Partnering to Invest in Children are teaming up to collect books for children in need now through April 30.

The organizations are asking for books for children from birth to 8 years old.

The books will be given to children and families in need through local schools, libraries, doctor's offices and child care centers.

Community members can drop off new or gently used books to any of the following organizations:

Pikes Peak United Way, American Furniture Warehouse, Barnes & Noble (Briargate location), Vectra Bank, Colorado Springs Conservatory, Hope Montessori Academy, NBH Bank, Mile High Youth Corps, Rampart Supply, Westside Community Center, Gold Camp Elementary, Pepsi, Martin Marietta, Donna’s Dolphins swim school, Peak Gymnastic & Fitness, First Presbyterian Church, First United Methodist Church, Colorado Springs Church of God 7th Day, Cross Creek Church, Temple Shalom, King Solomon Baptist Church, Pulpit Rock Church, St. Francis of Assisi Church and Friendship Assembly.
