Billboard in Colorado Springs targets abortion clinic employees

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A billboard in Colorado Springs is drawing attention for its message on abortion.

The billboard was up on Monday in the 1000 block of West Fillmore Street and reads, "NO ONE GROWS UP WANTING TO WORK IN AN ABORTION CLINIC. WE CAN GET YOU OUT."

The billboard was paid for by a group based out of Texas called And Then There Were None.

“Entering into the Colorado Springs market is a key component of our strategy of reaching as many abortion workers as possible with our message that we are there for them and can help them when they want to leave their jobs,” said Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood director who now runs And Then There Were None.

Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains released the following statement to 11 News on the billboard:

"Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains is proud of our dedicated staff who provide caring, high-quality health care to our patients every single day. Those committed employees are the reason we can say with confidence that our doors will remain open."
